Well, Hello. My name is David Kinrade and this is my web-site. I live in the Isle of Man, a small island in the middle of the Irish Sea, between the islands of Ireland And Great Britain. My surname is a local one and is of Celtic origin and actually quite common on the Island but rare elsewhere.

The Isle of Man is a fiercely independent Crown Dependency. We have our own Government, Tynwald, our own currency and stamps and our own way of life that is only now slowly being diluted by a steady influx of - what to me at least are - foreigners.

I have lived here for much, but not all, of my life and am glad to be a resident of one of the safest, most stable and prosperous places on earth.

The isle of Man is a place of diverse landscape and scenery and is a place that inspires great artistic talent, recognised on an international scale. In my own small way, I too am inspired by my surroundings. My photography has always been concentrated on the landscape, but with the advent of digital cameras I have found a new outlet for my creativity in the form of digital imagery that I hope can inspire and uplift.

Much of the imagery shown here is far to large-scale to be shown effectively online, but I have tried to do my best to convey the sense of scale available. You can only really get a feel for these images by seeing them printed out at the size originally intended and this is something that I intend to address in the future by holding an exhibition.
